Vehicle registrations are processed by the county treasurer’s office which requires an out-of-state title or Montana registration receipt, and the registration fee. Registration fees vary based on a number of factors, including the type of vehicle. An option tax may apply to some vehicles in some counties.
The Title and Registration Bureau also offers consumers a variety of license plates for their specialized needs. Options include decorative plates and designated plates for veterans, antique vehicles, and more.
