The US District Court for Vermont is the federal district court with jurisdiction over all of Vermont state. The court has a total of three locations in Rutland, Burlington, and Brattleboro. The federal court in the state came into being under jurisdiction of Eastern Circuit in 1791. The Vermont Federal Court is assigned to Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
